Everyone should watch how a SeedSigner (npub17ty…3mgl) is assembled from scratch. It could save you money someday.
A few weeks ago, my oven broke and the appliances repair man said he could send the control board off to get fixed for $500+ or I could get a new oven for $900+ and would need new wiring 700+ to be up to code, which might require a new panel $2500+.
So instead of being broke, and to try and save a few hundred, I looked up places to send the control board myself. Their websites looked spish tho.
So I decided to watch YouTube videos about oven repair. I was able pull the control board out myself and diagnose the problem. Some of the pins had come loose and they needed to be repaired.
And then boom, the SeedSigner soldering video came back to me. An oven control board is basically a giant SeedSigner and the pins needed to be soldered to the board.
A buddy with more experience soldering stuff understood the assignment.
And now my oven works again, all because I learned a life skill from Bitcoiners. 🫂🍻
