I rarely vote for local judges because for the most part, unless there has been something egregious, there isn't any information available. You can check the bar to see if there are any sanctions or issues but beyond that, it's pretty much a crap shoot. Also, in MO, judgeships are partisan elections. That seems so wrong to me. Aren't the courts at least supposed to *appear* to be unbiased?
