"content": "This is a Windows issue, and nothing to do with Linux. As someone else pointed out, UDF is commonly used for CDs and DVDs. The whole point of the file system was to be stable and standardized. The last Revision to UDF was way back in 2005, and I doubt it will be revised again. \n\nMicrosoft, however, isn't exactly known for following universal standards. I am sure they made some odd change, that is not industry standard, or perhaps there is a bug somewhere within Windows 11, since this does not seem to impact previous copies of Windows. Windows 11 writes and reads UDF just fine, but those new writes don't seem to play nice outside of Windows.",
