Well, anyone ripping anything is considered going into the sea, so if you're the author of a book and you rip that book, you're literally doing what you or me would do to get the book, thus even being a sketchy ground, it falls into the definition of pirating content.

Now, YouTube doesn't modify the video to add ads, not like Twitch, that's why adblockers still work (for now). So it's not really an argument to apply a DCMA notice if YouTube puts the ad-blocker dialog in front of you...
