There was this mistaken belief that the cops would obey the law and give a dispersal order and allow people to leave. I was shocked they actually did it at the second site that got barricaded, and they definitely weren't doing it at the third which was literally a natural kettle. That could have been way worse than it was. Roving occupations: good idea. Kettling yourself: bad idea.
