People tend to view art and beauty as additions and auxiliaries to the pragmatic, rational, regimented, utility-focused “real life.” I think it’s the other way around. Materialistic and rigid “real life” only exists for us to be able to fully experience and appreciate the magic of poetry, of art, of beauty, of nature, of life itself. That’s love. And that’s what life’s all about.
