Two seasons more to go.
It’s funny how a lot of complaints about all #StarTrek shows are that the writers don’t know what to do with a lot of characters. Partly this is because the good idea of having a diverse crew needs to be backed up by an execution of that idea, which also requires a diversity of people behind the camera. And partly it is a problem of a large crew: 3 people (Kirk, Spock, McCoy) plus occasionally others they can do well, but a dozen all the time? Hard. B plots help.
