For vendors or trolls, the showmanship is the means, but most people are the victims of the showmanship, and their trust of the LLMs seems painfully relevant.
We've seen how vulnerable the world is to the confidently wrong. Now it's automated, ubiquitous, and almost mandated.
I see both my students and my administration using/trusting LLMs as in the article, and it scares me.
