1. place some random shapes
2. pick words to go in them
3. check there isn't another possible solution — if there is then start again
4. human vetting step — currently this is just me looking at the list of words in the puzzle to check they're all reasonable words and there's nothing i consider a repeat in there (eg, where and whereas in the same puzzle)
