John McWhorter is on his game … and I am no linguist … but I don’t really see a “diference” between language and culture. One begets the other, and the other begets another one.
In fact, I’ve witnessed myself, and heard from many polyglots, anecdotal accounts of languages having their own “way of thinking”. I’ve even been alive long enough to witness the emergence of new words and word usage within many “cultures”.
Language and culture and some version of “worldview” seem pretty intertwined to me. But also… I’m pretty sure this is not something that can be “proven wrong”.
