This presumes that even if I fully understood the language that I would be able to understand the dialogue without subtitles or that the localization of the dub hasn’t edited the show (Sonic X being targeted at late teens in Japan but the US dub being targeted at children so they sanitized the grittiness and mature language, removing the lesbian stuff from Sailor Moon).
The new Gudetama show is an example of the English localized version being substantially close, though
