When you do things that make you healthier, smarter, or wealthier, you SPEND it effectively, as you increase your future efficiency and will need to spend less time on achieving what you want.
When you engage in meaningless activities, not only do you WASTE this finite, precious resource, but you also lower your efficiency, causing you to waste even more time in the future.
It seems like an easy choice to make, doesn't it?
