Janeway keeps talking about the prime directive when her crew suggest negotiating with the Kazon (or the "Automated Unit" discount Cylons), and it's driving me up the wall. These people are all post-warp! They all have similar (though different) capabilities to Voyager. When you need to pass through the territory of another sovereign civilization, the prime directive doesn't forbid good faith negotiation of terms and remuneration. You're just making unnecessary problems for yourself!
