"I'm not paying you to wash dishes." he grumped. He thought the janitorial crew would do this as well as collect the moldy coffee mugs left at engineer's desks in the open plan office. Nope. In the 9 months I was there, they never touched the stuff in the sink or other mugs. I continued to rinse stuff and even bought a CLEAN/DIRTY magnet for the dishwasher. Not one of the Indian TechBro engineers did a thing to help despite my sign over the sink "Your mother doesn't work here. Wash your own dishes."
On my last day, I didn't do any of this. There was a huge pile of unwashed dishes at 5pm, so I took a pic for my Farewell Facebook post. I wonder who they finally got to do that task. Maybe the CEO talked his mother into it when she'd deliver his lunch.
