Here, masks at protests are illegal. When covid started, masks became more common and police did not do anything about them, as it made sense.

Not sure what they'd do currently, it's been around a year since my last protest (I should protest more). Here the law calls it "passive weapon", alongside large glasses or helmets, as the police will have a harder time beating you up.
