I paid cash for my house, but it took up all of my savings. I still think it was a good choice to make as it decreases my chances of becoming homeless, but my retirement is not keeping up with inflation. Ugh! I can survive, but there is a bit of living I would still like to do. Unfortunately, this is becoming pretty common among retirees.",
