An example I like to use is
https://www.no-log.org. They are a great activist email service that I used for many years.
As French laws changed, the goals of the No-Log project were forced to change and now have to have a caution on their front page that "contrary to what [their] name suggests, No-Log is forced to keep logs (ie. "who writes to whom and when", without content nor the subject of the messages) for 1 year."
