When I was a child, we briefly lived next to an older couple, the dude of whom was an author. My most significant interaction with them was the day I went round the neighbourhood trying to sell people cool rocks I found from an egg carton.
Years later I found out he put me and my sister in a children's book he wrote about a cat.
