Reinstated: first day back to work
After one of the most stressful months of my life I have finally returned to MY job with the Forest Service! I was on my off season when my baby boy was born and one month later I received the call that my position was terminated. Obviously being fired without cause during this time was a massive source of stress for me and my family. Now, after near constant contact with my union steward, advocating on local news stations, and obsessively following fed news, I am once again employed. I want to thank this community and everyone I've come across over the last few weeks who has offered unquestioning support for myself and the thousands of others like me.It may be a truly dark and uncertain time, but there is light and security finding it's way back into our lives. Keep fighting, keep advocating, and keep the faith that with all of us standing in solidarity and dissent, that we can still win back our rights.
