EU citizen here. The new commission is still forming. Our average Joe is not aware of the proposal. Only tech savvy people are. We are more concerned about Russia invading us, so the news is not covered on TV. I don't like the proposal either. In the EU laws change. EU law becomes national law differently in each country. Every single country has a different legislation so IF it passes and IF it becomes a national law and IF people are affected by it then rest assured that we WILL react!
