It was confirmed today that my brother-in-law has incurable stage 4 cancer. He had no idea he was ill until he had an optional prostate cancer screening as part of a work medical. No symptoms and no clue but now he is preparing for surgical, hormonal and radiotherapy treatment. He has been advised that this is to suppress his cancer. It will not be cured.
Make sure you go for routine and optional checks. They may save you and/or give you a fighting chance.
