"content": "I don't see how we've disagreed. I pointed out that it went from being a clothing fad, to becoming a branch of transhumanism, where people attempt to improve upon or customize a healthy human body, so that they can feel more happy with it or comfortable in it.\n\nI don't doubt that it really does make people feel better. I'm saying that trans is something I see as part of a wider spectrum. I think most of the people making a big deal about it don't really care, they're just surprised and slow to adjust.\n\nI probably care less about it, than they do, but I have a clear argument against it (we shouldn't treat healthy human tissue as if it were diseased, or cut into tissue for decorative reasons).\nThey don't want to hear that because it's already an argument against vasectomies, piercings, chemical contraception, augmentation (except after something like cancer, which would be restorative), or tattoos.",
