“Don’t say #Mastodon, better call it #Fediverse” is giving me “Don’t call it ‘Linux’, call it ‘GNU/Linux’” vibes again.
In the end, what’s really important is that people realize that there are better alternatives to oligarch-controlled social media. You don’t need to be exposed to abuse, hate or discrimination. A more welcoming and supportive environment exists here for everybody.
