I can’t think of a better place to stop for a couple of slices today than the historic Patsy’s Pizzeria in East Harlem, NYC.
They’ve been churning out the world’s best thin-crust pizza from a single coal-fired oven since 1933. Even after raising the price from $1.75 to $2.50 a slice in the past few years, it’s still an unbeatable deal by any standard, especially in this city.
The slices come out piping hot, so you’re practically guaranteed to burn the roof of your mouth on the first bite like I just did. This is not delivery pizza. It exists in its purest form for just a few fleeting minutes before the magic fades.
