ooh, finally, a place to talk #crypto without the angry judgemental folks [elsewhere]
#bitcoin got me excited about digital cash. Its weakness - the whole proof of work consensus thing - has been ruthlessly exploited via classic megacapitalist strategies; shortsighted and destructive.
I still have hope for #digitalCash, I just think the consensus mechanism needs improvement. Or, perhaps better to say: it needs to be made more robust against exploitative behaviors. Centralizing influences are *hard* to counterbalance.
The folks who built #chia are pretty smart. If you haven’t learned about Proof of Space and Time, you might find it worth reading about
