Mixnets for privacy, arbittary get/set on the dht, soon blobs, routing messages to peers with delay tolerant networking, mobile first eith bindings accross most major labguages. Right now the devs are working on their chat thing as a way to iron out the rough bitd of thr apis so it might not have as much buzz but it's still active.
