Which research has been debunked? He says he wants non-offending pedophiles to be more "accepted". I asked him once why and he replied saying that this would help researchers study pedos and develop a "cure" or a way to prevent them from being born by understanding the mechanisms behind pedophilia. He also has arguments about how tolerance of non-offending pedos could prevent child abuse. I do remember reading other researchers complain they can't study pedos other than the imprisoned ones because most are obviously hiding. But honestly, I lean way more towards thinking that this is a bad idea. I don't see how it is necessary for society to "accept" non-offeding pedos in order to study them and I think this would be a giant slippery slope. Granting them that psychiatrists and researchers won't disclose that their non-offending pedo patient is a pedo seems to be enough in my view and I think this is already a thing among these professionals
