Wtf, just got this email from Stripe: Cybercultural “is in violation of the Stripe Services Agreement. Specifically, we are unable to accept payments for crowdfunding, as mentioned on our Restricted Businesses list. As a result, we will have to close your Stripe account on April 5, 2024.”
I mean, after moving from Substack to 11ty/Buttondown, I re-branded the payments from subscriptions to donations (as it’s not really a subscription business). Even so, what has Stripe got against crowdfunding?
