To be fair, OGs, early adopters and enthusiasts all saw value in what we called altcoins whether to fail hard, fail fast then apply patch to Bitcoin, or even to onboard into bitcoin. The shitcoin label came along when the industrial bankers did and the term was originally applied to fiat, specifically USD.
