I was vaguely aware of it and didn't realize just how low are low and medium orbits (#space is not that far away) and just how fast #rockets get to them... that is to say until I sat down to research and do some calculations for a scene I'm #writing.
As it turns out, the #SpaceShuttle took less than 10 minutes to get to orbit - So much power!
