Have your friends and/or family read your books?
None of them have read my erotica unless they figured out my pen name and found my books or my blog.
But I do write non-fiction too and I have written stories specifically for friends and family members, for instance a fairytale-like story featuring my sister's childhood plushies as a recent Christmas gift.
