Me: mum, why were you and my big brother (I called him by his name) with these Buddhists?
Mum: Oh, we used to visit cos your dad was a Buddhist.
Me: What?!
Mum: Yeah, I thought you knew.
Me: Mum, I get all my info on him from you! You never told me this 😭
Today I learned my dad was a Buddhist, which is definitely a sign (for something, I dunno what) as I’m visiting a Buddhist Centre soon - by my mums suggestion, too. I was so surprised she suggested it. Felt like she knows me and what I’m interested in better than I thought.
My own fault i didn’t know tbf. I get so scared to ask her about him. I don’t know why. My eyes start filling up when I talk about him and I don’t want her to know that I care. Silly, I know. Everyone in my family knows I’m a crybaby so it wouldn’t shock them if I did cry. This is the one thing I don’t want to seam weak about though.
