I hear ya. At the same time, running a lighting node does not have to be that difficult. We make it easy for folks. It is because Nix-Bitcoin is top not software. The balancing of channels, yes, a bit of maintenance. However, as with anything, there does need to be energy to maintain things. Also, the power of Bitcoin and what it means for their financial freedom out weighs the "burden" of balancing a channel.
