Incorrect. Though I think this may be a semantic thing at this point (maybe we’re using the term “cold” and meaning different things).
The CCMk4 supports USB C data transfer AND NFC. For the more paranoid, these can be considered edge connectivity threat vectors. This does not mean that this is a reasonable concern but it is still a concern that can be addressed.
“Cold storage” with HWWs has typically meant generating keys with the device while it is not connected to the internet. However this DOES NOT mean that the device itself CANNOT connect to the internet. Ledger, Trezor, Jade, Coldcard all have levels of internet connectivity built in.
Still, there are devices, like Foundation Passport, that CANNOT connect to the internet - power-only USB C, not NFC, no Bluetooth, etc.
