primal (npub12vk…pugg) v.2.0.114 new account creation still forces selections of content categories of interest, this should be skippable. It then auto-follows, based on the choices I presume, a pile of npubs that supposedly align with the categories, most of which have 10’s of thousands of followers already, further biasing the platform into a content corner for new users. This should be more transparent, customizable for new users and effectively dismantled from its current state for onboarding and retention of diverse user interests. I’m curious enough now to onboard with latest versions of other clients to see what onboarding flow we have arrived at organically across the ecosystem.
