Oh my gosh thank you that's lots to go on. I'm not very familiar with Linux, used it about 15 years ago and broke everything. Having just found KDE I now love it but still difficult installing programs and following command line instruction.
Had not heard of UDF before and used Wine to run some windows software but with the new type of high pixel screen it doesn't work. Glad to hear there is another option with that bottle thing
I will look into all this you have mentioned.
Do you have any recommendations for a photo library app?it is time I moved on from Picasa 🥴
