Started my first day of gardening leave with a morning hike in a local park. Yup, yesterday I received the somewhat dreaded but not unexpected “Organizational Announcement” last-minute meeting invite. Next 60 days is essentially paid vacation followed by 10 weeks of severance so I will need to find a new job ideally by the beginning of March. Not a good thing in a terrible job market but could certainly be worse. Hopefully the rain will stop soon so I can get in some car camping.
