alphaama has been updated with shortcuts thanks to @cameri. He proposed it and helped make it happen.
When in selection mode, now you can use the keys `i` and `k` for up and down the posts. `h` to go to the top of the thread, `b` to get to the bottom of thread. press `l` to get into the replies and use i/k to move up and down the posts. `j` to get up one level to parent post. `\` toggles the replies of the current selected event. finally, hit `Escape` to get out of selection mode. here's a little demo:
