Yes! It was almost startling when I'd stop and—silence. In places where it was packed, I'd hear the back of my snowshoes drag over ridges, then crunch.

Shortly after this video, I climbed to where it was virtually virgin snow and the crunch became muted.

The most difficult was where people had cross-country skied (they were mostly elsewhere). Their track was narrow, so my snowshoes would move freely on the inside, but drag on the outside. 😃 ❄️
