At a 1/2 mile if you apply the brakes gently you can stop before the wall. At a 1000 feet you have to step on the brakes hard enough to stop. At 100 feet it won't matter how hard you step on the brakes.
Are we tapping the brakes 10 feet from the wall? Do we need to start looking at what we do after hitting the wall?
