I think part of it is some confusion in the docs for podcast:guid. It mentions uuid v5 with the name being the feed url. That's not strictly necessary. None of my podcast:guids are created that way, because I don't know what the feed url is when I create the first xml file. So in reality, any valid guid would work, and the name isn't required to be based on the feed url.
