Literal translation of Filatov (“Filolog w zasade”) #Russia front-line soldier from #Pokrovsk direction. Worth keeping that in mind when listening to all that media noise about “US surrendering Ukraine”:
We’re exhausted, we don’t know what else to do. The sky is completely controlled by Khokhol [pejorative of Ukrainians]. You can’t go further than 3 kilometres from Selidove, they burn everything to shit.
A lot of FPV on optics, all dirt roads are controlled 24 by 7. Rotation is simply not possible. We walk 18 kilometres. Water, food, petrol is an urgent issue. I’m not talking about heating. The guys are freezing at their positions. We can’t get anything at all.
Of FPV that are not on optics - Khokhol found a window where we don’t have EW [jamming]: frequencies from 1020 to 2100. And is actively working on them. The other day we lost two great fighters: they just didn’t get to their positions. Also FPV.
They don’t let you cut the roof in a “Bukhanka” [UAZ-452 4x4 minivan], because it’s army property on the balance sheet. You ride in a “Bukhanka” like in a coffin, you can’t see or hear anything. Personal transport is forbidden.
In Novotroitskoye and the nearest rear areas, everything is working: from barrels and MLRS to fucking rockets - by the sound of them you’ve never heard of them before. In short, it’s fucked up.
No one understands how to work in such an environment. The Khokhols are fucking us hard and fast, really hard. If we don’t start working with the FABs as hard as we did at Avdos [Avdeevka], we won’t get any further.
