We know that the Federation doesn't use money anymore (both Picard and Kirk mention that), and that life improved drastically after the third world war, but otherwise it's pretty vague. How are goods allocated?
Labour:
We know that private property still seems to be a thing (e.g. Chateau Picard with its vineyard, or the restaurant of Benjamin Sisko's dad).
Are these exceptions? The rule? How is labour organized? Are there repercussions for people unwilling to work?
