So the same government that has been trying to fix the 100 miles of highway from where I live to the nearest city for 5 years, secured the remains of an alien that was capable of traveling across the galaxy in a spaceship that defies our knowledge of the laws of physics and managed to keep everyone else in the world from finding out about these aliens for decades.
They travel at near light speed and then crash gently enough onto the earths surface that distinguishable parts of their ships and their "biological bodies" survive the crash. And they do this in a place where nobody sees it or can go take a look before the feds get there and perfectly secure every last piece of the crash site.
