Was there a poll, blog entry, etc. on the decision not to enable search? I do remember a discussion and poll about authorized fetch but not about search.
Another thing I noticed is that now I can't click on hashtags on disabled.social when I'm not logged in. That used to work on this server before the update.
I don't know whether it's related to search being disabled but it's sad to lose this feature.
