What Transparency Looks Like
For non-fed visitors who might not know, every federal contract and every federal grant is tracked on USAspending.gov. It tells you how much is allocated, who the recipient is, what it's for, where it will be spent, hell - it even tells you who the highest paid employees are at the receiving org! It is a massive wealth of data about how the government uses our money, and it's public.Every federal regulation is posted on the federal register for comment and review, along with the purpose it serves and the reasoning behind it.This is what transparency looks like. Not a tweet asserting that you are "maximally transparent", not a chart that shows numbers without context.
