I think there's a setting in most distros whether to use UTC or local time for the RTC. I always go with local.
I default to #Debian in most places. I'm typing this on my Pinebook Pro ARM laptop running Armbian, which is mostly just Debian with custom drivers for this peculiar hardware (ARM is still kind of a wild west when it comes to hardware support, beware lol)
