People have tried to classify the world into two groups since time immemorial.
And so we've had the "civilization", and "barbarians". We've had "empires", and "frontiers". "West" and "East". Finally, "developed countries", and those still "developing" â later replaced by "Global North" and "Global South".
I think the most reasonable split today is into countries where corporations still have limited power, and those where corporations can do anything they want. Of course, it's all primarily the matter of investment in corruption and propaganda.
