a speaker should act less like a partisan than an advocate for good govt imo. this would be more likely if our system was less tilted towards duopoly. any bill that gets a decent amount of co-sponsors should get called. a balanced budget should be the top priority. give bills time to be understood before they are voted on. no more omnibus crap. etc etc.
so I’m divided on Gaetz’ complaints. he seems to want transparency and very conservative leadership. ugh.
