I.e. it was all cairo and thus CPU drawing. Is there still a terminal that does use the old acceleration (and is there still a semi-maintained DDX driver for the device here), maybe xterm? I just wonder if VTE with GTK4 on Wayland is now the best performing terminal from the rendering side, even on such old hardware :)",
